The lively effervescence of the Champagne region is breathtaking in its beauty and fascinating in its history. The twin capitals of the
region, Épernay and Reims, are nestled on the banks of the River Marne and offer a number of unique experiences for visitors.
In Reims you'll visit their famous cathedral, where no fewer than 25 kings of France were crowned. Reims is also home to the famous
Surrender Museum, the historic spot where the Germans surrendered to General Eisenhower on May 7, 1945. You'll find
World War I sites in the region as well, including Hill 204 and Belleau Wood battlefield.
Not far from the charming village of Épernay is quaint Hautvilliers, where Dom Pérignon lived and worked in the
local Benedictine Abbey.
But don't forget the best reason to visit this region - Champagne & Brie! Visit the famous cellars of Moët &
Chandon, Tattinger, or Clicquot and then head to Meaux, the home of Brie cheese and famous Pomery Mustard de Meaux.
