 Fleur de Lys
|
The Fleur de Lys is an impeccably appointed barge full of grace and elegance epitomizing the concept of ultimate luxury. She features
a stately salon with a grand piano and large panoramic windows, as well as a dignified dining room perfect for candlelit dinners.
Her heated plunge pool is perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
The vessel was constructed in 1941 as a freight vessel and enjoyed an interesting history as a cargo barge during WWII. She was
later converted to a passenger vessel and her furnishings feature items from 22 different nations. At 160 metric tons, she is the
largest size of barge capable of navigating the network of older canals in France.
The Fleur de Lys cruises the classic Burgundy route bordering France's famous Côte d'Or, composed of the Côte de
Nuits and the Côte de Beaune, where the legendary wines that are permitted to bear the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus
labels can be discovered. You'll recognize names like Meursault, Montrachet, Gevrey-Chambertin, Clos de Vougeot, Pommard and
Santenay and sample wines that are rarely available outside the borders of France.
|
The Fleur de Lys features 3 large staterooms to sleep 6 in comfort and style. Each stateroom offers two twin beds
that can also be converted to one king size bed if desired.
With gorgeous canopied beds, spacious ensuite bathrooms with bathtubs, and dressing areas with plenty of space for your clothes
and personal belongings, you'll feel right at home.
