Overview
The barge La Reine Pedauque has been decorated in a
style that reflects the beauty of the region in which
she sails. Her comfortable salon and dining room feature
large picture windows so you don't miss a minute of the
passing scenery. The panoramic sundeck offers a relaxing
spot for enjoying a glass of champagne while the
countryside floats by.
La Reine Pedauque has been
designed specially to accommodate passengers with
physical challenges. The barge herself has been fitted
with a wheelchair lift and stair lift between decks, and
the doors are also wide enough for wheelchair access
throughout. Her minibus used for excursions also has a
wheelchair lift, providing convenient access to the
sites in this beautiful region.

Sample Itinerary
Dijon to Vandanesse Friday - You will
be met in Dijon and transferred by air conditioned
mini-bus to La Reine Pedauque. You'll be met with a warm
welcome aboard from the captain and crew with a
Kir-Royal cocktail - the start to a unique and memorable
stay in Burgundy. Take an early evening visit to Dijon
and then return to the boat in time for your first
candlelit dinner aboard.
Saturday -
During breakfast, La Reine Pedauque will leave Dijon and
head for the first of a total of 45 locks. She will
travel along Lake Kir, with its leisure facilities, via
Plombieres to Velars-sur-Ouche. You are welcome to leave
the boat at a any of the picturesque locks and to
continue on foot or bicycle along the towpath to the
next lock. After lunch, the barge continues on her
leisurely way before reaching Fleurey-sur-Ouche, where
you will moor for the night.
Sunday -
Today brings you into the heart of Burgundy, into the
glorious Ouche Valley. Comfortably seated on the
sundeck, enjoy the journey back through time to an
unhurried world, past the enchanting village of Pont de
Pany and Chateau la Chassagne and past Ste.
Marie-sur-Ouche. La Reine Pedauque will finally moor in
Gissey and from there you'll set out to explore the
surrounding countryside in the company of the Captain.
Monday - After breakfast, you'll set off
on a day's excursion to beautiful town of Beaune. Here
you will visit the world-famous Hospice, Hotel-Dieu and
the Collegiate Church of Notre Dame. After lunch at a
local French restaurant in Beaune, you'll enjoy a
wine-tasting at a typical, local Burgundian vineyard.
Tuesday - This morning begins with a
cruise to Saint Victor and La Bussiere where you'll
visit the Cistercian Abbey. After lunch the cruise
continues past Veuvey on the way to today's mooring in
Pont d'Ouche. In the late afternoon you'll visit the
medieval hillside village of Chateauneuf en Auxois.
Wednesday - Sit back and soak up the
beauty of the surroundings as the Captain masters the
numerous locks between Pont d'Ouche and Vandenesse. In
the evening you are guests at the Captain's Table for
the Farewell Gala Dinner at which you will be presented
with your lock diplomas.
Thursday - After
a generous breakfast, passengers leave the boat and are
driven back to Chateau la Chassagne, to the train
station or Dijon airport.
