The Self Drive Experience
Traveling the canals aboard a self drive vessel is a unique and memorable experience. As you drift along the water, history and nature
become your travel companions as you embark upon an original discovery of France and its rural areas, relish the gastronomic and
cultural stops, pastoral landscapes, castles and abbeys.
On board, you'll appreciate the exceptional comfort, the quality of the equipment, and the ease of maneuvering. No license is required,
so the whole family can try their hand at piloting! A number of vessels are available with capacities ranging from two passengers to twelve
passengers along various routes throughout France. Let yourself be tempted by charting your own experience on the waterways of France.
As soon as your booking is confirmed, directions for access as well as the river chart that you have ordered will
be sent to you. When you arrive at your departure point, you will be welcomed aboard and provided with all the necessary advice for
a successful river cruise.
You have the choice between two types of cruises: one-way trips or return trips. For return trips, your point of return will be
identical to the departure point. For one-way trips, you will begin at one base and end another.
Along the way, you can choose your mooring points freely, and navigate the canal locks free of charge. Many locks are automatic.
Bicycles are essential companions to your riverside rambles - be sure to make a
reservation for the number of bicycles you'll need when you book your voyage; available at an additional charge.
